These principles are the foundation of Capse's corporate role, work community and social responsibility. Ethical principles are derived from the values of our company, which are the cornerstone of our common corporate culture. The company’s values guide all of our decisions, big and small, and help us prioritize things. Values apply to all of us, whatever the job description. We are all expected to act in accordance with the company’s values and to avoid conduct that is inconsistent with our values. Every Capsen employee adheres to these principles, both together with others and as an individual.
As a company, Capse wants to be a pioneer in responsibility, and stakeholders also demand responsibility from Capse. The demand for accountability extends wherever Capse operates. Capse's Code of Conduct sets out common guidelines for the work of all Capsel employees and partners.
Both Capse's personnel and partners are required to familiarize themselves with the Capsen Code of Conduct. The guidelines, which contain 11 guidelines, provide clear examples of what is expected of Capsel employees and partners in relation to, among other things, human rights, respect for the environment and fair competition. With the Capse guidelines, we ensure that everyone at Capse has the same vision of the values and principles that guide our daily work. The principles are the same for every Capsel in all our countries of operation. We also require a responsible approach from our partners. 1. We comply with the law
At Capse, we adhere to the law in all our activities. We also require all of our partners to comply with the law. At Capse, we comply with laws and policies in all of our operations. We do not condone violations of the law and will never instruct or instruct anyone to violate any applicable law. Key areas include laws on the status of employees, equality, privacy, the fight against corruption and other corruption, competition and consumer protection, occupational safety, environmental protection and product safety. Nor do we direct our partners or other parties to do anything that we ourselves cannot do under the laws, Capse’s commitments, policies or policies. I treat our employees equally and comply with applicable labor laws. I respect the value of the individual, privacy and freedom of religion and conscience. I actively take care of the safety of working conditions. Capse requires its employees and partners to respect all internationally recognized human rights. We are responsible for our own work and decisions, and for working efficiently and honestly. Creating and maintaining a good work atmosphere is our common task. A well-functioning and fair work community in which everyone is good to work arises from mutual trust, appreciation of the person, genuine caring, a desire to help and an open spirit of togetherness. It is the responsibility of the supervisor to promote a direct, open, and constructive discussion of all work matters and to encourage subordinates to ask questions, make suggestions for improvement, and report any grievances. He takes care of the induction of new employees and intervenes in practices that require correction, including so that Capse's operating instructions and common operating principles are known to everyone. The supervisor must set an example of responsible behavior and must not demand from his subordinates what is necessary to achieve our common principles. Harassment, discrimination or other inappropriate behavior in the workplace is not acceptable. Professional organization is a personal decision. Party politics is not practiced in the workplace.
4. We minimize our environmental impact
Working for the environment is a joint task of Capse and its partners. In my work, I strive to promote climate change mitigation and the sustainable use of natural resources. At Capse, managing environmental impacts is a daily activity. Climate change mitigation is one of the main themes of Capse's corporate responsibility work. Capse reduces emissions with energy-efficient solutions and the transition to renewable and low-carbon energy sources. In cooperation with its partners, Capse wants to promote sustainable production and consumption. The circular economy is being developed in cooperation with supply chains, logistics and consumer services. Product and packaging design and recycling play a key role in making materials more and more recycled and reused. As a partner of Capsen, I am committed to minimizing my negative impact on the environment in my own operations. I am constantly working to identify ways in which we can work together to further reduce our environmental impact.
5. We communicate openly and protect the Capse brand
As a partner of Capsen, I take care that my activities do not endanger Capse's corporate image, brand value or reputation. The brand is a special protection for Capse. Capse builds its brand primarily on its value, vision and mission. Capse requires that its partners do not act in a manner that could jeopardize Capse's brand value. As a partner of Capse, I will never act in a manner that could damage Capse’s reputation or competitiveness. In social media, I follow the same principles as in other communications and interactions regarding the confidentiality and accuracy of information.
6. We keep business secrets
As a partner of Capse, I keep confidential any information I receive about Capse's operations, personnel, customers and partners. I will not disclose or disclose this information to anyone other than the parties involved. Information covered by security arrangements, such as information related to cash handling, data security, alarm systems and emergency instructions, is also considered confidential. I use information systems and programs in accordance with the agreements and access rights. I always make sure that confidential or important information is not lost or used by outsiders. I handle electronic tools carefully. When I leave my workstation, I will not leave any recordings or materials on the desktop that contain confidential information.
7. We are committed to fair competion
In all my activities, I strictly comply with applicable competition laws. I will not engage in any activity that restricts or impedes effective competition. As a partner of Capsen, I undertake to comply with applicable competition laws in all my activities. My operations in the market are based on open and effective competition. Consumer customers and the industry as a whole benefit from effective competition. I am familiar with the key competition law guidelines for my operations. For example, I do not agree or discuss prices, customers or other Kesko trade secrets with Capse's competitors. In any event, I will not engage in any activity that has as its object or effect the restriction or prevention of effective and fair competition. I understand that, among other serious sanctions, the breach of competition law is particularly damaging to Capse's reputation.
8. We treat customer information and other personal information confidentally
As a partner of Capse, I follow good personal data processing and data protection practices as well as the legislation of each country. With the correct processing of personal data, I maintain customer trust and increase efficiency. I plan the processing of personal data in advance. I only collect information in the personal register that is necessary for the purpose. I take care of the accuracy of the information in the personal register and that the processing of this information does not endanger the privacy of the data subject. I will inform data subjects about the register and that they have the right to check the information about themselves. Processors of personal data may not disclose personal data received to others without a legitimate reason. Authorities may also have a statutory right of access to information.
9. We do not offer or accept bribes
We do not accept bribery in any form. We do not promise or pay bribes or illegal payments to authorities or others or instruct or instruct anyone to take or give them. Capse has zero tolerance for all corruption. We do not promise or pay bribes or illegal payments to the authorities or anyone else to secure the Company’s business and its development. We treat our friends and relatives like our other partners, and personal relationships with partners do not affect our decision making. We will immediately notify the employer of any circumstances that may be considered a conflict of interest and discuss solutions together. We do not engage in activities that are detrimental to fair competition.
